Mission of Vision Leadership Institute:
To provide health promotion services, youth leadership development, and academic promotion to South Carolina youth and provide HIV/AIDS Prevention/Education Services to young minority women between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five.
Forum Purpose:
The Forum will serve as a safe environment that will allow the exchange and flow of ideas and proposed solutions to address the health ills plaguing young women in South Carolina.
Forum Objectives:
1) Provide an open (safe) environment for the exchange and flow of ideas;
2) Develop a guide for addressing specific health problems facing young women;
3) Develop a guide for specific cultural competency when addressing special populations;
4) Provide voice for young women in South Carolina;
5) Build collaborative bridges and partnerships between professionals, young women, policy-makers, academia and other health professionals.

With the information gathered from the State of the Young Women’s Health Forum, Vision Leadership Institute has assessed the presentations and made the following recommendations.
Findings and Recommendations from Forum:
· Create more places for young women to get information.
· We are more alike than different.
· Develop cultural competency.
· Reach youth through technology.
· Stand behind our cause.
· Make health education more interesting/fun
· Dedicate a day to healthcare.
· More clinics should be built.
· More education about pre-natal healthcare.
· Address the issue of underinsurance or uninsured.
